Not to be located in a corrosive or polluted atmosphere
Insulation or other protection not to interfere with its operation, testing or maintenance
May be located in pits, but not buried in the ground.
Where water hammer occurs downstream, water hammer arrestor to be used.
All devices to be readiliy accessible.
No heat to be applied during installation.
Approved resilient seated isolation valves to be installed immeadiately upstream, adjacent to device.
Pipework to be flushed before connection.
Specification
The single detector check valve shall consist of a single positive seating, centre guided chck assembly. It shall have a field removable seal and seat assembly with an encapsulated spring. Acxcess is through an "O" ring sealed cover secured by stainless steel fasteners. The valve will be fusion bonded, epoxy coated internally and externally.
