Testing & Maintenance requirements Test after installation prior to service. Maintain in working order and inspect for operational function at intervals not exceeding twelve months. These functions to be carried out by authorised licensed testers.

Typical Containment Installation including Water Meter
If device is removed from line, another device of equal or greater hazard rating is to be installed.
May be located in a pit, depending on Local Authority Regulations.
All devices shall be readily accessible.
Line strainers to be fitted upstream (except in fire services).
Resilient seated isolation valves to be installed upstream and downstream of device.
Where water supply cannot be interrupted, parallel installations are required so that maintenance is possible.

Specification
The assembly shall be fitted with replaceable positive seating, centre guided, encapsulated spring type check valves with removable seats. Access for service to be through covers secured with stainless steel fasteners. Check valve assemblies shall be removable, module-type which can be disassembled and serviced, and shall be retained in the body in such a manner so threads or fasteners do not come in contact with line fluids. Sizes DN15 - DN50 will be Gunmetal, DN65 - DN250 will be Fusion Bonded Epoxy Coated Cast Iron.
